9th Annual Heritage Harvest Festival at Monticello
The Heritage Harvest Festival at Monticello celebrates the legacy of revolutionary gardener Thomas Jefferson, America’s “first foodie,” with more than 100 educational programs, hands-on workshops, garden tours, a bounty of heirloom fruit and vegetable tastings, lessons on seed saving and gardening, an organic, local food marketplace, kids’ activities and more on the breathtaking West Lawn of Monticello.
Jefferson championed vegetable cuisine, plant experimentation and sustainable agriculture. In many ways, Jefferson was also the “architect of American life,” encouraging the growth and appreciation of the arts in America.
