Race for Water Literacy

Fix A Leak Family 5k

City of Charlottesville sponsored family fun race. This event will wrap up Fix-a-Leak Week, a national campaign by the Environmental Protection Agency. General water conservation tips, resources, and rebates will be featured at the race, as well as information on tackling water leaks in your home. The race trail will feature scenic, nature, and mountain views by passing through Pen Park nature trail, Rivanna River, and Meadowcreek Golf Course. T-shirts and light snacks are included in the registration as well as other giveaways. The event will also host face painting, balloon animals, and music. 

Online registration will close at 6:00pm on Friday, March 20th. Race-day registration will be available, but only cash or check will be accepted.

March 22nd, 2015 from 10am-12pm.

Race for MACAA

Charlottesville Ten Miler and Kids Run

This popular Charlottesville event is sponsored by Virginia National Bank and Charlottesville Track Club. Run for the Monticello Area Community Action Agency (MACAA) to help fund Hope House, which is an early childhood development program for children aged 3-4, and Steps to Success, which is a program that helps students who are from low-income families succeed in high school and pursue higher education especially if they are first in family to attend college.  

There is no race day registration! Register online here

Online registration closes Wednesday, March 18 at 12pm.  Fee $55

Limited registration at packet pickup.  Fee $70   

Sleep-In Participant  (NOT racing, but receives a t-shirt)   Fee $25

Race for Special Health Needs

Camp Holiday Trails 5k

Camp Holiday Trails is a summer camp for children with special health needs and on March 14th, participants can run for a cause, win prizes, and improve their own health, all at the same time. All registered participants receive a free shirt and prizes donated from local businesses will be awarded to the top 3 male and female finishers in each age group. 

Tickets are $20 for UVA Students and $25 for the general public. Runners can register Register online here. Online registration will also be available on race day (credit only, no cash). 

The race will be held at Nameless Field of University Ave and Newcomb Road Charlottesville, Virginia 22903.

Camp Holiday Trails is a local, non-profit organization that helps provide a magical camp experience of community, involvement, and empowerment for children with special needs.
